Peitian is located at the foot of Guanzhai Mountain in Longyan’s Liancheng, West Fujian Province. Surrounded by mountains and parted by a river, the village boasts beautiful natural scenery and a history dating back 800 years to the Southern Song Dynasty.
Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Peitian has served as a key interchange station connecting official roads to Changting and Liancheng. Local architecture features rich ornaments, and the families here are known for their love of growing orchids.

A Center of Learning and Culture

Academies of Learning Famous for its classical schools, with the Southern Mountain Academy as its main institution. It hosts traditional Confucian schools alongside specialized schools for agriculture and crop cultivation.
Martial Arts & Music The village maintains boy and girl schools for martial arts—a long-standing local tradition. It is also well-known for Shifan Music, which children especially love when paired with puppet shows.
Peitian has 300 families and 1,400 residents who share the same surname, upholding an 800-year tradition.
