Day 1: Arrival in Xiamen
Welcome to Xiamen. Your journey begins with the scenic Island Ring Road and the historic South Putuo Temple, the city’s most revered Buddhist site, before checking into your hotel.
Day 2: Anxi – The Capital of Tieguanyin
Travel to Anxi, the heart of Tieguanyin tea. Visit Xiping Village, home to the original Tieguanyin bush. Explore the Tieguanyin Cultural Garden and Weiyin Tea Factory to learn traditional production methods. Finish the day at the China Tea Capital wholesale center.
Day 3: Hua’an – Tea & UNESCO Heritage
Head to Hua’an, China’s second-largest Tieguanyin area. Visit Eryilou, the massive UNESCO-listed round earth house. Take a peaceful walk through the lush tea gardens surrounding the Tulou and visit the local tea wholesale market.
Day 4: Zhangpu – Tenfu Tea Museum
Visit the Tenfu Tea Museum, currently the largest tea museum in the world. Experience vivid displays of global tea culture and enjoy a professional tea art performance in the Chinese Tea Art Classroom.
Day 5: Gulangyu & Xiamen Tea Heritage
Ferry to Gulangyu Island to explore its colonial architecture, Shuzhuang Garden, and the Piano Museum. In the afternoon, visit the Xiamen Tea Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd., the region’s largest Oolong tea exporter, before your flight home.
