“Si Cai Yi Tang”
Four Dishes and a Soup
Located in Snail Pit Village (Tianluokeng), about a 4-hour scenic drive from Xiamen, this cluster is a masterpiece of Feng Shui and architectural harmony. The buildings are perched on a lush mountainside, offering different perspectives from “Looking Down” (the panoramic view) to “Looking Up” (from the foot of the hill).
The Architectural Harmony
The core square building, representing the “Soup” in the center of the meal.
Includes Hechanglou, Zhenchanglou, Ruilonglou, and the oval-shaped Wenyanglou.
Interestingly, Wenyanglou was built in an oval shape to better fit the limited hillside terrain and optimize the local Feng Shui, adding a unique asymmetrical beauty to the cluster.
Includes: Tianluokeng + Yuchanglou (Leaning Building) + Taxia Village (Water Village)
